Spiti Left Bank Trek
Duration : 15 Days\14 Nights
The Spiti river has its source far north on the eastern slopes off mountain ranges which ruin between Lahul and Spiti. The river is formed at the base of the Kunzam Range by the confluence of Kunzam La Togpo and the streams Kabzima and Pinglung. On the western side of its sour lies a vast salt-water lake.
Day 01: Delhi - Chandigarh
Met upon arrival at Delhi IGI Airport & transfer to the HOTEL for rest. After lunch proceed to Chandigarh. On arrival proceed for city tour covering Rock Garden and Lake club. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Chandigarh - Manali
After breakfast drive to Manali (2050 M). Enroute stop at Bilaspur for splendid view of Govind Sagar Dam and tea. Continue driving to Manali via Mandi and Kullu. Lunch enourte. Arrive Manali by late afternoon. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 03: Manali - Rohtang - Chhatru
Early morning after breakfast drive (105 km) to Chhatru via Rohtang pass (3849 mt.). The initial route follows the Manali - Leh Highway. After 17 km from Rohtang pass at Gramphoo, Spiti link takes off right. We will set-up camp at Chhatru. Overnight stay in tented camp.
Day 04: Chhatru - Kunzum La - Rangrik
Morning after breakfast proceed Rangrik via Kunzum-la (4507 mt.). 22 km from Kunzum is Losar, first village of the Spiti valley. Continue driving to RANGRIK which is 7-8 km before Kaza. Set-up camp on arrival for overnight stay.
Day 05: Rangrik - Ki - Rangrik
Days for visiting KALACHAKRA CEREMONY at Ki Monastery. His Holiness Dalai Lama will innaugrate the Kalachakra ceremony. Overnight stay in tented camp.
Day 06: Rangrik - Ki - Kibber
After early breakfast drive to Ki monastery for witness the Kalachakra. Afternoon drive to Kibber village and camp for overnight stay. Visit the temple of Kibber.
Day 07: Kibber - Langza
After breakfast start the first day trek to Langza. The trek is up-down through the steep gorge on the Silla river. On arrival set-up camp for overnight stay.
Day 08: Langza - Demul
The trek today passes through very beautiful grassy meadows of Chame. The meadow is full of grassy humps and mossy tussocks. On arrival set-up camp for overnight stay.
Day 09: Demul - Lallung
After breakfast trek to Demul. This day you will have to cross Lingit river. The trek is basically up-down through the Lingit and Spiti valley. On arrival set-up camp for overnight stay.
Day 10: Lallung - Dhankar - Shichling
Early morning visit the monastery of Lallung. Afterward start trek (12 km) to Dahnkar via Rama and Chabrang village. On arrival at Dhankar, visit the monastery and then drive (8 km) to Sichling for overnight stay in tented camp.
Day 11: Shichling - Tabo - Nako
Morning after breakfast drive to Tabo, the ancient cultural city of Spiti. It houses the most famous Monastery of Himachal Pradesh. The temples are built in the west-tibetan style. The innner wall of Tabo is covered by frescos and painting from Buddha's life. O After sightseeing of Tabo, continue driving to Nako. On arrival set-up camp for overnight stay.
Day 12: Nako - Kalpa
Morning after breakfast visit Nako Lake and monastreis in the village. After sightseeing drive to Kalpa (2900 mt). Check-into Tourist Bangalows/Tented camp for overnight stay.
Day 13: Kalpa - Sarahan
After breakfast proceed to Sarahan by Coach through Baspa Valley. Drive about 130 KMs to reach Sarahan. Visit the famous Hindu Temple of Godess Kali - Bhimkali Temple. Overnight in Tourist Bungalow.
Day 14: Sarahan - Shimla
Morning after breakfast drive to Shimla via Narkanda which is a famous hill station of Bristish era. Arrive and check into hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 15: Shimla - Kalka - Delhi
Morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of Shimla. Visit Rastrapati Niwas, Jakhu Temple. After sightseeing of Shimla proceed for Kalka (3 hours) railway station to board Himalayan Queen Express train for Delhi. The train departs at 1655 hrs and arrives Delhi at 2215 hrs in the night.
